What should you actually charge?
Indian market rates in rupees. Followers set the band, engagement moves the price, niche multiplies it.
This is your number, not a verified one
Everything above is calculated from figures you typed in. Connect your Instagram or YouTube and the same maths runs on reach pulled from the official APIs — a media kit a brand can check instead of taking your word for it. Free for creators.
How the number is built
Three inputs, applied in order. There is no per-follower rate anywhere in it — a flat rupees-per-thousand-followers rule is the single most common way creators underprice a small engaged audience and overprice a large dead one.
1. Followers set the band
Every band has its own base price per format, because a story is not a reel and a YouTube integration is not a Short.
| Band | Followers |
|---|---|
| Nano | under 10,000 |
| Micro | 10,000 – 99,999 |
| Mid | 100,000 – 499,999 |
| Macro | 500,000 – 999,999 |
| Mega | 1,000,000 and above |
2. Engagement moves it, in both directions
Engagement is judged against what is normal for an account of your size, not against a fixed threshold. Roughly 6% is ordinary below 10,000 followers and 1.5% is ordinary above half a million, so the same 3% is weak on a small account and strong on a large one. An audience below par prices under the base table; one well above it prices over. If you leave the likes field blank the answer comes back as a range, and the width of that range is exactly how much engagement could move it.
3. Niche multiplies the result
Finance, tech, crypto, real estate, business and investing carry a 30% premium because the customer they reach is worth more. Health, fitness, wellness, food, travel and education carry 10%. Everything else prices at the table.
YouTube is measured against views, not subscribers
Subscriber counts are cumulative and never decay, so a channel that was big in 2019 still carries them. Views are what a brand is buying. That is why the YouTube form asks for average views and divides by those — likes over subscribers is a number you will see quoted elsewhere and it systematically flatters dormant channels.
What is not in the price
Usage rights, exclusivity, whitelisting, paid amplification and agency margin are all negotiated on top. So is turnaround: a 48-hour deadline is worth more than a two-week one. Treat the figure above as the floor you open at, not the total.
Common questions
Why will it not price a very small account?
Below roughly 100 followers an engagement rate stops being a measurement. Forty followers giving four likes each computes to 10% engagement, which would price at a premium for what is really six friends. We would rather refuse than publish a number we cannot stand behind — the same floor applies on our fraud checks and creator report cards.
Are these rates only for India?
Yes. The base table is built on Indian market rates and quoted in rupees. Applying it to a US or UK creator will understate them substantially.
Can a brand trust a number I calculated myself?
Not on its own, and it should not. Anyone can type any follower count into this page. A verified media kit is the version that carries weight, because the reach in it comes from your own account through the official Instagram and YouTube APIs rather than from a form.
